Franklin Township Clergy Council was established on May 5th, 2016 at Masjid-e-Ali as one of the two sub-councils of Franklin Township Interfaith Council. The other, is Youth Council, which will be formed in the near future. The purpose of Clergy Council are:
-To bring the clergies from various houses of worships under one umbrella.
-To provide a platform for unified message as an Assembly of Clergies in our Township
- To bridge gaps between our respective communities by educating them about each other’s faith.
-To make presence of Clergy visible in the public’s sphere and help the community at times of local and National emergencies.
-To provide resources and activities for interfaith dialogue.
During the first meeting it was decided to locate resources within members of various houses of worship, and assess ways in which they participate in achieving the above goals. The ultimate goal is to enhance understanding among and unite the diverse communities of Franklin Township.
